- Slinga’s Independent Country Tony Slingsby was one of the first people to play our music on the radio, and he still uses our recording of Blackberry Blossom as bumper music sometimes.

Venues and festivals
- Bill Jorgenson Memorial Bluegrass Festival North-Eastern WI’s summer bluegrass festival. We had the great honor of playing with Bill Jorgenson in 2006, not long before he passed away. We played the 2007 fest and hope to be back again next year.
- Chicago Bluegrass Legends Fine concert series in Evanston, IL. Tangleweed was featured in 2006.
- Fitzgerald’s Fine venue for excellent music and food on Chicago’s west side in Berwyn.
- Irish American Heritage Center Top-notch resource and venue for Irish culture in Chicago, which has featured Tangleweed many times at its festivals and events.
- Old Town School of Folk Music Not only do they employ Ryan Fisher as a teacher, but they run an amazing number of quality music classes and performances. A truly unique and beloved Chicago institution.
- Quenchers Saloon Logan Square-area venue with an impressive beer selection. Tangleweed holds down a monthly gig there.
- Red Line Tap Another cool little venue that’s been very supportive to Tangleweed over the years.
- The Charleston A cozy neighborhood bar in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood. We hold down a monthly gig there.
- The Hideout Superb venue for live music, hidden away on a quiet industrial block on Chicago’s north side. Indispensable.

- Archive.org Incredible resource for free live music from hundreds of bands, including Tangleweed.
- Build Your Own Chicago Our friend Matt Bergstrom designed a beautiful series of paper models of Chicago landmarks. You can buy them at select stores, or directly from him.
- Chicago Mastering Bob Weston engineered our first cd. Now he’s running a mastering studio with a focus on vinyl.
- Chiliplants.com Scott’s prefered source for hot chili pepper plant starts. Amazing selection of chilis from all over the world, and great service.
- Hawkcount.org Annual migration stats for birds-of-prey traversing North America.
