High on the Mountian banjo tab
I am not sure how but I got this tab program copied on word so here it is. Swing the hell of it. That’s the feel I used.

These fellas are both left-handed and play National Resophonic Guitar and Mandolin (same as our own Kip Rainey), and their new record is getting rave reviews from all over. Hopefully we’ll get them up for a few songs during our sets, too. Should be a great night - hope to see you there!
Our new CD has arrived, in all its orangey goodness. After months of delays, we finally have copies of Most Folk Heroes Started Out As Criminals in hand. It’s almost a year after we first went to King Size to start recording it, nearly five months since we mastererd it, and three months since we shipped it off to be manufactured. After all that, I can finally say this, with absolute certainty: it’s done.
I just found out today that our friend Razor, co-host of the Razor and Die show on WLUW is in the hospital’s intensive care unit on a ventilator. I don’t know the details of his condition, but we wish him a speedy recovery and hope that everyone will send him and his wife Di well-wishes. You can contact Di through Myspace.
Here’s some video footage of us playing around a campfire at Deer Valley YMCA Camp in Pennsylvania. We played to an appreciative crowd of Scott’s family and friends in front of a beautiful setting. It was a nice cap to our Appalachian tour. This excerpt includes Listen to the Mockingbird, High on a Mountain, and Ginseng Blues.
Here’s another handy condensed stream of some of the MP3 files that’ve been posted to this site over the past few months. They should play in the Flash dealie below. If you want to know more about the songs or find download links, visit the links below to read the original posts.

Here’s a quick excerpt from our August 15th appearance on WDVX’s Blue Plate Special. The song is ‘California’, which will be on our next CD, Most Folk Heroes Started Out As Criminals.
The picture at left is Paul and me with the Grit Pixies from Asheville, NC, and Corduroy Road, from Athens, GA, all of whom are better looking than we are. If you’re interested in hearing the rest of our show, you can download the whole thing in MP3 format by visiting the link in this previous post.

Tangleweed’s WDVX appearance available for download
Tangleweed’s August 15th appearance on WDVX’s Blue Plate Special is available for download on our music page. It’s five songs, recorded live in Knoxville in front of a studio audience. The sound quality is quite good. Matt, the house engineer, got a good, loud mix for the radio feed.
The set, as best I can remember, was this:
All are tracks from our forthcoming third CD, Most Folk Heroes Started Out As Criminals. This is what we sound like the morning after an all-night drive.
You can download the whole thing in MP3 format (approx 16MB), or you can stream it in the player thingy below.
