Roy Smeck’s tapping, stair dancing ukulele

By Kenneth Rainey. Filed under: TweedBlog, video. Tags: ,

More jaw-dropping virtuosity from Roy Smeck, who could play anything with strings better than just about anyone. In this, he replicates Bill ‘Bojangles’ Robinson’s ‘Tap and Stair Dance’, using nothing but a ukulele. Impressive.

Smeck’s background in Vaudeville shows in his remarkable showmanship — the presentation is as impressive as the playing.
