We’re very pleased that our recording of the Ola Belle Reed song ‘High on a Mountain’ will be featured on the PBS series Roadtrip Nation. The new series begins this month, and our music will be in episode eight. Roadtrip nation has also used Tangleweed’s music for their online series, featuring ‘Draggin’ the Bow’ in a recent episode.

The series follows two teams of students from Emory University and San Jose State as they spend the summer reaching out to successful people across the nation as they search for what lights them up and inspires them.
Roadtrip Nation features fresh and unique music from independent artists from around the world. Roadtrip Nation prides itself in the fact that only independent music is featured in their programming. Some of the artists who have been featured in the Roadtrip Nation series have included Jack Johnson, Of Montreal, Xavier Rudd, Brett Dennen, White Buffalo and Caribou.

Tangleweed’s music featured in online documentary
Earlier this summer, Tangleweed did a small show at the House Cafe out in DeKalb. The other act on the bill was Natalia Zuckerman, a singer songwriter from Boston, we all had a good time. Folks who are in Chicago can catch Natalia and I playing a set together at Schuba’s Saturday night and if you’re in the Ann Arbor area you can catch us at THE ARK www.theark.com on Sunday.
