Our rememberance of Beat Farmers passed continues with another great Buddy Blue performance, taking on Neil Young’s Powderfinger. The Beat Farmers’ catalog is spread across several different record companies. Some of their work, like the excellent Van Go, can be had on the cheap. Others, like Tales of the New West, will set you back about eighty bucks. Many folks recommend the live record Loud and Plowed as an introduction to the band. It’s not a bad place to start.

A memorial fund has been set up for Buddy’s daughter Lulu. From Buddy’s web site:

This fund has been established for Buddy and Annie’s daughter Lulu’s education. Or as Buddy would say, to ensure that Lulu one day becomes President of the United States and outlaws the Republican Party.
