Our host, ixwebhosting, sucks

We presently host this site on ixwebhosting.com. Any slowness you experience on this site is due to the dismal performance of their database servers. We are looking for a new hosting provider.

  2. It’s been offline at ixWebhosting for two days, Rick from ixWebhosting, because I moved the site to a different host. I moved our site because of ixWebhosting’s dismal service and insolent, incompetent, tech support. I have asked ixWebhosting to cancel my account. See http://www.tangleweed.org/blog/?p=298.

  3. By the way, Rick, did you notice how fast the blog loads? That’s because it’s not on your sucky servers anymore. Were it still on ixwebhosting’s servers, you would have had to wait thirty seconds for this page to load.

  4. Ixwebhosting is not expensive, it’s cheap, and that’s why it sucks. Very bad support. I wanted to create a database with a different encoding and I’ve been waiting since a week now. The 24/7 chat support sucks even more, they do nothing but telling you things you already know. “My website doesn’t open” and they answer “Your website doesn’t open”, “I opened a ticket to solve the problem” they say “Please open a ticket to solve the problem”… I didn’t try the Linux server but they have IIS 5. with all the problems in IIS they have the worst one. just google an you’ll find a manual about hacking IIS 5.

    My problem is finding a hosting that Supports both Asp and Postgresql, I thought I solved it when registering with ixwebhosting but I didn’t.

  5. I worked for this company. The company that hosts is called IXWEBHOSTING. The callcenter for help is called Ecommerce. Located in Hopkinsville KY. They are a bunch of unprofessional screw ups. They lie to the customers and tell them whatever to get them off the phones. I know because I did it. They are also in with a bunch of Ukrainians. Prolly the Russian Mafia or something. Whole thing is shady. Too many people on the servers.. too much traffic. They won’t do crap for you.
    They mess up the employees checks and crap.. they are ghetto.

  6. Fuck IX Webhosting/IXWEBHOSTING whatever. They’re a bunch of fucking degenerates who are about to get sued from a very serious company (mine). We gave them 5 years of customer loyalty to have them end up shitting on us and REFUSING TO GIVE US OUR FILES after they inexplicably discontinued our account with vague details and ZERO WARNING.

    Assholes.
