Today’s set on WLUW

By Kenneth Rainey. Filed under: GigBlog, News, TweedBlog.

We had a good time this afternoon playing on Billy J. Ivers’s ‘Live and Kicking’ show on Chicago’s WLUW today. We played five songs:

  1. Orange Blossom Special
  2. Somebody Touched Me/ Banjo in the Holler
  3. `Til the End of the World Rolls Round
  4. Drunkard’s Blues
  5. Ginseng Blues

As always, thanks to the good folks and WLUW, who help keep community radio alive in Chicago. We have a recording of the set which we’ll share with folks soon. Also, thanks to our pal Eric, who filled in ably for our guitarist Scott Judd.

We will be back on WLUW twice in the next week. Paul will be on the Razor and Di show on Thursday, armed with some tracks from our forthcoming album, and we will all be at the Heartland Cafe next Saturday morning to play on the ‘Live at the Heartland’ radio program. WLUW is at 88.7 FM in Chicago, and also streams live over the internet at wluw.org
